Chinnakallar Falls is a stunning waterfall located in the most wettest place Chinna Kallar estate in south India. Located 15km from Valparai, Anamalai Hills of Tamil Nadu, India. The water source from the National Parks of Tamil Nadu & Kerala states. From here the PAP water project starts by saving the water in the Upper Nirar Dam and divert the water to the tunnel under the mountain which is 4 km length and come out at Vellamalai Tunnel. Then the water flow into Koolangal river (Vellamalai Tunnel River).
How To Reach Chinnakallar Falls, Valparai?
Valparai is located in Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu and connects by road. You can reach coimbatore by road, train & air from major city in India. From Coimbatore to Valparai take 3 hours travel via Pollachi for around 100km.
The ghats road begins after 60km and itβs have 40 hairpin bends to reach Valparai. While on the way you can enjoy the scenic view of mountains, valley, waterfalls and tea gardens. From Valparai to Chinnakallar falls distance is 15km. Travel includes deep forest journey.
