The Jyotirlingas are sacred shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, and Maharashtra is blessed with five of these divine abodes. Here’s a list of the three Jyotirlingas located in Maharashtra:

Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga: Situated in the Sahyadri hills near Pune, Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva appeared in the form of a fierce warrior to eliminate the demon Tripurasura. The temple’s architecture showcases a blend of Nagara and Hemadpanthi styles.

Morning: 4.30 AM to 3:00 PM
Evening: 4.00 PM to 9:30 PM

Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga: Located near Nashik, Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga is associated with the origin of the river Godavari. The temple architecture is notable for its classic black stone structure. This Jyotirlinga is one of the most significant pilgrimage sites for Shiva devotees.

For Men: Kurta pyjama or Dhoti, Gamacha.
For Female: Saree or Punjabi Dress of any colour except black, green & plain white.

Trimbakeshwar Temple Kalsarpa Puja Timing:

Kalsarpa Puja will be started at 7:30 AM and will be Completed at 10:30 AM. Pooja Duration will be 3 hours.

Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga: Situated near Ellora Caves in Aurangabad, Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga is believed to be the last Jyotirlinga on earth. The temple is an architectural marvel, adorned with intricate carvings and sculptures.

Temple Dress Code:

Men: Men’s should enter the temple without shirt and vest, allowed only with Dhoti and Dhoti Colour Saffron is recommended.
